Back to the roots | Sgraffitos – 𝕷𝖆𝖊𝖙𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖆 𝕸𝖆𝖓𝖙𝖎𝖘

I got back into acrylic painting lately, starting with a series of sgraffitos. I experimented with this technique decades ago already, before I started to focus on other creative outlets. For my first sgraffitos I used oil paint though, today I prefer to work with acrylic paint.

I find myself falling in love with colors again, true pigments and their brilliance, delivering physical results that do not depend on any screen settings. What an irony that I have to present them on a screen here. Needless to say that the photographs don’t do the originals justice. (dimensions: I – XI ca 20 x 30 cm, XII 20 x 20cm)
